A vibrant red smirk, emerald eyes, and a white face were all that stood out in the dark alleyway. Joker licked the edges of her mouth as she strolled forward, her feet echoing off the walls with every step. Short, canary yellow tail swished back and forth in a steady and slow rhythm. She stuffed her gloved hands inside her pockets and gripped her favorite knife, almost wanting to poke through the leather and prick her own finger with it. Stopping a couple feet before the end of the alley, Joker stood up straight, eyes darting about suspiciously. Her head tossed up and her eyes watched for the bat signal, wondering if her Batsy was out and about. Not seeing the light shining against the storm-threatening gray clouds, She huffed and focused on the brick wall in front of her. She wiggled her fingers around in her pockets, giggling, as she fished for her playing cards for amusement. Joker pulled the deck out and started shuffling them, all the while plotting ways to catch Bats' attention. A thought popped into her head, interrupting her planning and shuffling for a moment. "I wonder what Harvey's up to!" She whispered, giggling quietly to herself as she thought of the half-faced man. The one who was supposed to be Gotham's 'White Knight'. She brushed away some green curls out of her face and smirked, licking her lips once again. Glancing back at the deck, she held the card that was on the top and laughed. It was a Joker card covered in scratchy HA's. "I- Hahahe- love- Hehehehe- this card. Hahahahahehehehe!" Joker said through giggle-fits, her fingers loosening up from around the other cards. Eventually, they all fell out of her hands and were spread out on the damp, dirty ground. She stared at all of them and listened to the silence, one of her hands digging into her pockets to grab the knife she held earlier. Holding it up, Joker glared at it. "What to do, what to do..." She mumbled as she knelt down to play 52 card pick-up, lightly chuckling and still grasping the blade tightly.

The sound of footsteps echoed against the walls of the sky scrapers, breaking the awkward silence that filled the streets. It was rather odd to Two-Face; being all alone in this particular street. The place had been buzzing with activity 24/7 before the Joker's big appearance. She'd scared Gotham so badly that its citizens were terrified of being outside at night. Just like she wanted... He thought with as much of a grimace as his 'condition' would allow. The man's pace slowed as he raised a hand to rub against the burned flesh, sending shockwaves of pain through his head. But he no longer cared. Worse than the pain in his face was the pain in his heart. ”Gordon...” Two-face thought aloud, gritting his teeth. He would pay for Rachel's death, the bastard. Him and the Batman. His tail flicked back and forth in an angry-cat-like fashion, occasionally slapping against a cold stone wall. Two-Face sharply turned a corner while contemplating where he was going. He needed more rest, but he couldn't go home; that was Harvey Dent's home. Harvey Dent died in the Hospital, and only Two-Face was left. He was about to consider joining the group of bums that lived under the bridge when a chillingly familiar laugh made him jump. It's her... the man thought, becoming slightly frightened at the mere thought of that face. Slowly creeping toward the alley where the sound had come from, Two-face peeked around the corner, eyes scanning the blackness. No sign of-- wait... about a yard away was a signature Joker card, smiling up at him in an almost mocking manner. A sudden drop of rain tumbled from the sky and hit him on the burnt side of his face. He grimaced and tried to ignore the pin-and-needles feeling that the rain gave him, instead concentrating on catching a glimpse of that white face or striking green hair against the blackness.

A chilling drip of water fell on the back of Joker's head, causing her to perk a brow. "Rain? Oh my. Hope it doesn't ruin my cards. Then I'd have nothing to play with when I'm not tangoing with Bats or locked up in that forsaken asylum!" She murmured, swiftly picking up the cards now that the rain was suddenly falling quicker. Her ears twitched as she heard footsteps coming towards the alleyway entrance, "Who's theeerrre?~" She teased with a wild grin, picking up the ace of spades, the last card. Placing it with the rest of the already moist cards, Joker put the deck back in her pants pocket and stood up, stretching a little. Neon tongue poked out of her lips and ran slowly across both mouth wounds, a tiny sting with each stroke. She squeezed her favored blade in her right hand and took one step forward, bringing herself closer to the stranger. As Joker got closer, the streetlights shone on the figure's face ... and she started to laugh. "Harvey...? Is that you? Bwehehehehehehaha, it is!" She laughed hard, showing her yellowed teeth, and kept her focus on Two-Face. Slowly, she made her way forward, giggling with each step. Once Joker reached the man, she gently placed a hand on his shoulder and looked directly into his eyes, the cool knife pressed against the back of Harvey's charred neck. "How've you been? And why so serious? You should try smiling more." She purred, lapping at her wounds between words while she tilted her head to the side. The rain had now become downpour and it, amazingly, hadn't affected the Clown Princess of Crime's makeup. She kept her attention focused on the scarred face in front of her, awaiting an answer.

The suit-clad canine nearly jumped out of his skin at the sound of that laugh. A shiver ran up his spine-- he tried to convince himself it was from the rain. Two-face scowled at the clown, the cool metal of the knife sending painful chills through whatever nerves he had left. He stared at The Joker's throat, every muscle in his body telling him to throw himself on top of her and squeeze her throat till she laughed her last. But something in her words at Gotham General kept holding him back. After all, she'd only been doing her job; wrecking havoc. It was the Bat and Gordon who had failed him. Who had failed Rachel. Ever so slowly, Two-face reached into his pocket and gripped his signature coin, running his thumb over the burnt side. Clearing his throat, he returned his gaze to those shadowed eyes and even dared to push away the knife that was pressed to his charred flesh. "]Never better. Shouldn't you be playing with the Batman?" He growled, ignoring Joker's signature question. The rain was now falling at a steady pace, each droplet feeling like a nail in his burned flesh. He tried his best not to grimace, and instead thought of Rachel. But as the pain in his head decreased, the pain in his heart increased tenfold. At least the rain would mask his tears, should he loose it in front of the Joker.

Joker cackled, showing off a mouthful of yellow teeth again as she watched every little movement the man before her made. Ears catching the scowl and eyes peering into Harvey's own, she simply shook her head, mumbling something to herself. Her tail whipped about behind her while she waited for Two-Face to re-direct his eyes to her own. He seems ... distracted.
She thought, thinking back to when they first met. Gotham General. Ahh. That was a fun place to blow up. Too bad they evacuated all the people though! The Joker snickered silently to herself after that thought, brushing her tongue along her lips. She noticed that Two-Face had seemed to snap out of his trance and was staring back at her. She also noticed that he had slipped his hand inside his pocket and started rubbing something. Probably that crispy coin of his. Ha ha he. As he replied to her first question, she felt her knife being pushed away, which only made her press it harder against the rough flesh. The second thing Two-Face said caught the Joker slightly off-guard. "Well, I was actually plotting things that'd get Batsy's attention earlier in this here alley! What about you? What have you been up to, Harvey?" She grinned, flexing the fingers of her free hand a bit. She could clearly see his fear; his tension; his heart-breaking, tear-jerking sadness. It only made her happier on the inside. Oh how the sadistic little clown loved to be feared.

Two-face grimaced as the clown grinned at him, his gaze wandering down to the wet pavement. The city lights reflected off of it, creating a grand and beautiful display. It reminded him of the time he and Rachel had gotten caught in the rain after dinner with no umbrella. They'd ran as fast as they could to escape the rain, but in the end they'd stopped to jump in puddles and gone back to Rachel's apartment soaked to the bone. He couldn't help but smile and wag his tail around a bit at the happy memory. Two-face was snapped back into reality as the knife nicked his burnt cheek. Oh, right. He was being assaulted by a psychopath clown. The painfully sharp edge of the knife was beginning to annoy him, and he curled his tail around his side, as if to hold himself. “Introducing a little anarchy.” He quoted as coolly as he could, trying his best not to let his arm punch the living daylights out of her. If you want to live, you've got to play her game. He soothed himself, counting to ten before letting out a breath he'd seemed to hold for an eternity. Unfortunately, his calmer mood also allowed him to realize how much the pounding rain was hurting his charred face right now. He withdrew the hand that had been stroking the coin from his pocket, and tried his best to shade his face from the rain. He hated showing weakness, but he was starting to wonder if he should've at least let them give him painkillers. Glancing from Joker to a nearby overhang, he carefully began to inch his way to the shelter, trying not to make any sudden movements that could provoke her. Two-face sighed quietly as his face was sheltered from the worst of harsh weather, and slipped his hand back into his pocket. This time he drew it back out quickly, coin gripped in his brown-furred fingers. “How many buildings do you plan to blow up this time?” He asked too quietly for it to be mocking. His eyes focused on the coin he held in his palm, burnt side up.

The Joker observed Two-Face as he seemed to go off into dreamland once again. She tilted her head to the sky and watched the rain fall on to her face, running through her hair and fur and seeping into her clothes. She didn't mind the rain. Actually, it sort of soothed her. Hearing the quote come from Harvey's mouth made her smile as wide as she could. “You took my advice? Wonderful!” Joker muttered something else to herself and shook her head, water droplets flinging everywhere. Perking a brow at the raised hand, she snickered. The rain must be burning against that open flesh. ... Hehehehe. Suddenly, she felt Harvey shift and shuffle slowly towards the overhang that kept a tiny square of the alley dry. Instead of pushing more pressure on to the blade held against Two-Face's neck to prevent him from moving further, she loosened up and eventually slipped the carving knife back inside her pant pocket, the chain attached to her pants jingling a bit. She flexed her fingers on each hand before folding her arms across her chest, tail flicking to and fro in anticipation. Staring at Two-Face, who now stood under the overhang and away from the downpour, she tapped her foot in a puddle. “As many as it takes to catch Bats' undivided attention, I suppose. Or maybe however many it takes to please me for a night. I'm not exactly sure right now!” Catching his gaze, the Joker looked down at his hand and giggled at the charred side of Harvey's coin. “Ooo. That coin excites me, y'know.” She purred, very tempted to snatch it up and stuff it in her own pocket along with her signature knife. I don't wanna rile up Harvey though. Not just yet anyway.

Two-face glanced up to see the clown dip her head back and enjoy the rain. He contemplated how that makeup was staying on her face, but decided it’d be best not to think about it too hard. Instead, he fiddled with the sleeves of his suit. It was the one he’d been wearing when… he gritted his teeth and bypassed the thought. One side was slightly burnt along the collar and shoulder. It added to the horrific state his face was in, and much to the dismay of his still-sane half, it excited him. I’m becoming just like them… Two-face thought, referring to Joker and the Batman. He was startled and jumped slightly as Joker moved the knife, but was glad to see it tucked away into her pocket. Calm down, and keep focused. The scarred man told himself. Unfortunately, that was not the easiest thing to do in his current predicament. It wasn’t every day he was assaulted by a psychotic clown, and he’d lost control of his thoughts when he lost everything. He felt as if he were in the wrong body… well, half of him was, anyhow. There you go again; wandering off. the voice in Two-face's head spoke, while the clown’s chatter was lost to him. It was almost amusing. Two-face’s tail twitched with agitation as Joker eyed his coin, and he was about to tuck it into his pocket when an idea dawned upon him. "I guess I’d better get used to this, so I might as well practice. Feeling lucky?" He said, his words coming out slightly cornier then he'd hoped. He wondered how the clown was able to do it without sounding like a geek… oh well, he’d practice. Two-face raised the coin, holding it at eye level with one hand while drawing out his gun with another. Without pausing for a reaction, he quickly tossed the coin in the air, caught it, and flipped it onto the back of his brown furred hand. He paused for a moment, his ears twitching as he glanced up to her. With a deep breath, he slowly removed his hand from the coin. Clean side up. "Damn... even luck can't kill you." He said in a somewhat astonished tone, tucking the gun back into his pocket.

The Joker noticed Two-Face was being more jumpy than he used to be. Well, before he had half of his face scorched. Eheheh... She glanced over to her left for a second and saw a soggy wooden box sitting in a big dip that was being filled up with rainwater. Scooting over to it, but keeping her gaze on the half-faced man, she sat down with a pleased sigh. Her eerie smirk never left her lips and her eyes never lost sight of Harvey as she crossed one leg over the other, jabbing her elbows into her knee. Joker set her head in the palms of her gloved hands, shifting a little to make sure her knife was still in her pocket. A sharp prick through the thin fabric of her pinstriped pants reassured the twisted clown that her carving tool was safely nestled where it should be. Swiping her slender tongue over her lips absently, The Joker blinked a couple times at the question and giggled loudly. “Oh boy am I-” She cut her sentence off as she watched Two-Face flip the coin and begin to pull out his gun. Her whole body was suddenly filled up with anticipation and adrenaline, giggle-fits causing her to hold her sides and take in short, choppy breathes while waiting to see if tonight was her lucky night or not. Craning her neck, she eagerly tried to see which side was up. “Hahahahehehe! Not-crispy side up! Lady Luck loves me tonight, eh? Flip it again, flip it again!” The clown begged and bounced in her seat, imitating a little child after they had seen something spectacular. She really did want him to flip it again. The sense of ... joy that coursed through her veins when she awaited her 'fate' in those couples of seconds reminded her of many chases she's had with the Bat. She thrived off that feeling, enjoying every moment she had with it. Bright emerald eyes darted up from the ground and stared into Harvey's eyes. She thought back to his jittery nature every time she moved, dropping her head back in her palms. “You're so jittery tonight, Harvey. What's the matter? You afraid of clowns?” She almost whispered the last query, jagged yellow fangs showing through pursed ruby-red lips.

The corner of the former DA's mouth twitched as the clown happily bounced around her seat, asking him for another turn. No matter how much he wanted to see her brains splattered against the wet concrete, there was no way in hell he was going to fulfill a request from her. Besides, she could come in handy for distracting the Batman. "Not tonight." Two-face snarled, placing the coin in his empty pocket while his tail curled around to join it. Somewhat calmer now that she was seated, Harvey allowed his eyes to wander the setting, as he didn’t want to look at those frightening emerald eyes. The puddles collected in the road reflected the orange glare of the street lamps that flickered overhead, ever so slightly illuminating the alleyway. It was still too dark to see clearly, but he could make out the silhouettes of some trashcans and boxes. He strained his eyes for anything that could perhaps be a bomb of some sort. You could never be too careful with the Joker. The slick, almost sing-song female voice brought his attention back to the psycho that sat before him. Afraid of clowns? the question lingered in his mind a moment before registering. Harvey was about to throw back an angry retort when the muffled roar of an engine interrupted him, the sudden noise sending his fur on end. A small blue car turned the corner and was heading down the road at an unusually slow speed. The bright headlights reflected off the wet pavement, illuminating the villains’ faces. The car paused for a moment before its driver apparently recognized the duo (well, probably the insane clown better than the burn-victim) and floored the gas, sending the vehicle skidding down the street. Harvey wasn’t surprised when he heard laughter explode behind him, before he realized it wasn’t coming from the Joker alone. He was laughing too. His laugh trailed off into uncertain chuckles, followed by an awkward cough. Why did I laugh… Two-face wondered, turning to the villainess as if he expected an explanation from her. Was this what had happened to the Joker? Had she gone through some traumatic experience; so devastating that she’d lost her mind? Had she, like him, lost a loved one? Rachel… damnit. The man mentally kicked himself. He’d almost forgotten what he was heading to do. “I’d love to stay and chat, but I—“ Harvey paused mid-speech, his features twisting into a thoughtful expression—or at least as thoughtful as the exposed muscle would allow. “If I help you get the Batman’s attention, will you stall him long enough for me to do what I need to?
” He blurted, eagerly awaiting a reaction. It was crazy—but now, so was he. [/blockquote][/sub]

The normal, twisted smile that was on the clown's lips a moment ago changed into a large frown as she watched Harvey stuff the coin in his pocket. Her eyes turned to slits, glaring intently at the half-faced man. "Dammit. Why do you have to ruin my fun?" The Joker said while folding her arms and pouting, slightly ticked that Harvey didn't do what she asked. I hate it when people refuse to do what I say. Hmph. As she scooted around on her soaked box, the tip of her blade kept poking at her yellow-furred thigh and sending tiny shivers of pleasure down her spine. The psycho-clown contemplated on whether bringing it out and waving it around in front of Harvey's face or to save that for a little later ... until her thoughts were stopped by the sound of a car's tires crunching against wet gravel. Directing her attention to the streets, she noticed a tiny car driving slower than a snail. The Joker peered through the tinted windows and stared at the driver, who began speeding off once he had recognized her. The smirk from before crept up on her face once more as she giggled. But she wasn't the only one laughing. Harvey ... laughing? Her eyes opened wide at the deep, sort of scratchy laughter echoing off the alley walls, the smile on her lips growing wider. "Is that you laughing, Harvey-babe? My my! That must be a first." The Joker cackled like a hyena, watching him face her and look towards her as if she had the answer to his ... awkward chuckling. She simply shrugged to inform him that the clown had no clue where it came from. Maybe my insanity is rubbing off on him! In the process of a yawn while he spoke, arms stretching above her head, she jolted up to her feet at the mention of her Bat. "Why, I would be honored too, Mister District Attorney. And what do you have in mind to grasp the Dark Knight's interest? You got somethin' up your sleeve? And what are you going to do while I distract the bat, hmm?" Joker cocked her head to the side with a perked brow, swiftly spitting out her questions as to tell the burn-victim that she was quite interested. ... Oh. And she added the name just for kicks. Hehe.

Harvey took the good bit of his lip in his teeth, both thoughtfully and to distract himself from the clown. He knew what he was going to do, but what about Joker? They should probably go to some abandoned warehouse, or wherever the hell the clown stayed, to come up with plan. He sure as well wasn't taking her to Rachel's. The rain had slowed to a steady pace now, and rips in the clouds revealed the moon in flashes. The cold breeze sent every fur on Harvey's body on end. All he had was his navy suit, and the burnt half gave almost no protection from the cold. He now envied the Clown's heavy purple trenchcoat, where he had previously found it unnecessary. His good ear twitched, only picking up half of her questions in his busy thought. "Hmm... I need to thank some people for my little burn here. What you do with the Bat is up to you. Just make sure he doesn't get near the place I lost... her." Two-face muttered, unable to choke out her name. He slowly stepped toward the Joker, his tail twitching every time a raindrop splattered against his burnt flesh. "You know, you're more of a mystery than the Bats. Where do you stay when you're not blowing the city up?" He asked, not fully expecting her to tell him.

Watching Harvey chew on his lip almost nervously, Joker waited for an answer, ears perked up. A couple chilling breezes blew in the alley, but the clown seemed unaffected by the wind, her cozy purple coat keeping her warm. I bet he's freezing in that sizzled suit of his. Ha. She thought as her thin tongue slipped out and swiped across her lips swiftly. The moonlight shining through breaks in the clouds made the scarred, painted face of the trickster even eerier. Ears perked up as Harvey began speaking again, she nodded, "Can do. This'll be fun, I have all kinds of tricks up my sleeve for the overgrown bat~" She smirked widely, eyes glazing over for a moment. The second thing the half-faced male said made her chuckle and focus on him again, pushing back her Batsy-tricks for later. "If I told you, I'd have to kill you. Heheh. But! I can take you there if I can blindfold you." The clown winked while fishing for her thick blindfold somewhere deep in her jacket pocket, pulling it out once she felt it.

Harvey sighed and slightly glared at the clown. He didn’t like the idea of being dragged around blindly by an insane murderer. His emerald eyes scanned her face, hoping for some sort of twitch or glint in her eye that would alert him should she be plotting something, but that makeup made it hard for him to detect any sort of emotion. A slight look of disgust twisted the good side of Harvey’s face as the Joker’s tongue darted out to moisten her reddened lips. It was creepy and odd. No wonder she does it all the time. He studied her for another moment before deciding he wasn't getting anywhere, and was going to have to just… trust her. Or come as close to trust as one could do with the Joker. Besides, she has nothing to gain from hurting me. He told himself, trying to ignore the fact that the Joker didn't do anything for personal gain. "Alright... but no tricks, or I'll distract the Bat next time you're trying to get his attention." He warned. Who would have thought The Batman would be the only thing he could use to protect himself. He stared at her pocket at she fished around in it and pulled out a thick black piece of fabric. Harvey turned around slowly and closed his good eye. The gloved hands of the Joker emerged around him, but the sleeves pulled back slightly, giving him a glimpse of black and white striped fur. The blindfold pressed against his exposed eye, stinging and drying it out. He grumbled with annoyance, but didn't bother arguing. It was understandable that she didn't want him to know how to get to... where ever they were going. Harvey swayed, his tail spread out in an attempt to steady himself. Taking a small step toward what he hoped was the clown, he reached out a shaky hand until he felt it brush against the rough, damp fabric of her jacket. He gripped it tightly, blushing ever so slightly and cursing under his breath. Feeling so vulnerable around the Clown Princess of Crime herself was making him uneasy. "Ok... lets go." He muttered, adjusting his hand so he had a better grip on coat.
